I don’t know about you guys but it has taken me some time to find my “go to” skin care products. I wish I had someone with the ability to teach me about the different stages of skin care and explain how to avoid the pitfalls of many products. I honestly didn’t know the importance of taking care of my skin till I was in my early 20’s. Of course I washed my face, but it was mainly just soap and water. As a teenager I tried Proactive without noticing much of a difference. Before J I would wear make up everyday, and I discovered a couple of these products. I loved them then and still use them today. After I had J, I stopped wearing make up all around. Anytime we went out I just applied brow gel and mascara. Then caring for my skin went to a new level, because I wasn’t covering it up everyday. That is when I discovered the rest of my face routine. Through the many stages of my life I am proud to say I have found my holy grail of skin care products!
Soap & Glory Face Soap and Clarity 3 in 1 Daily Detox
Sunday Riley Rapid Flash Brightening Serem
Bobbi Brown Vitamin Enriched Face Base
Glam Glow Supermud Clearing Treatment
I always start with the Soap & Glory Face Wash. I love the clean feeling it always leaves on my face. I purchase mine at Target for about $11, sometimes there’s a coupon on Cartwheel. Then I’ll apply my Sunday Riley Brightening Serum. Honestly, I found this serum about a month ago and fell in love! I went through many different brightening serums, some of which I were allergic to, and others I just didn’t see much difference. But I was on the hunt for a product to correct my dark spots from my blemishes. Then I found this bad boy. I was amazed! It’s a bit on the pricey side but WELL WORTH IT. I can see and tell a huge difference in my skin. I get mine from Sephora for about $85. I finish my routine with the Bobbi Brown Moisturizer. I found this pre baby and it did wonders for my skin. I still love it! Before I discovered my mask and serum, I would just use the face wash and moisturizer. Perfect combination! I also found this at Sephora for $58. If you were to buy only one product that is on the pricer side, I would do this one. It does everything you need after a face wash. The next product I only use if I have a blemish or just feel like doing a mask at night. I don’t use it everyday but it definitely makes me feel refreshed. The Glam Glow Supermud Mask is my favorite! I also get this at Sephora, for $70. I love when it’s ready to be washed off because you can see where your face was dirty and how much work the mask did. After I rinse it off I apply the moisturizer, and I feel like a new woman every time I use it.
This is about how much product I use. Top left is the face cleanser, bottom left is the brightening serem, top right is the moisturizer, and bottom right is the mask. The face cleanser looks like a little bit more because it slid on my hand. Depending on if I do a mask or not I might use more product. Since I had all this product on my hand, I decided to do a mask during nap time!
